A Brief History

Thanks for stopping by Music-Talk! We're a community of musicians and all around music-lovers looking to spread our passion for music and converse with others who share it. Since the beginning, we've been going strong, now with over 200 members and 20,000 posts.

Music-Talk 1.0

It all started on July 27, 2006 when Morgan (rockon1824) started "Temp UG" on ForumCo. in aid of the servers being down on Ultimate-Guitar.com that day. The next day, the dawn of "Music-Talk" arrived when Michael (username) set up an InvisionFree forum to transfer Temp UG to. We had a few skin changes during this period, but we settled on "Green Dream" that you can now select in the forum skin changer. Later, a FreeWebs page was made as a supplement to the forum. Mods during this period included god. (now "username"), rockon1824, Liberation, jimtaka (now "jimtaco"), Metalology, Ostin, meta1militia, Ninja Penguin (now Ninja Muffin), and later Irishdropkick (now "Blake").

Music-Talk 2.0

The second era of "MT" came when this actual Music-Talk.org site was launched on September 24, 2006. The skin during this time is called "Starry Night" on your skin changer. Moderators during this period were rockon1824, username, ana, Liberation, Chimaira, and Guitarbreaker.

Music-Talk 3.0

The latest version of Music-Talk was let loose on May 29, 2008, and includes the beautiful blue and orange default skin. The moderators during this period are rockon1824, ana, and Liberation. The main new feature of this update is the upgrade to ZetaBoards forum software.

Music-Talk 3.1
On November 30, 2008, Music-Talk completed a minor update, which can be read about here, including a new Music News forum, among other things.
